Thanks to the LEGO Builder app, fans were able to get a first look at the 80112 Auspicious Dragon and 80113 Family Reunion Celebration sets, two creations that celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Dragon Up first is the LEGO Festival Calendar (40678), which features a Dragon boat, fully functional barrel-style calendar, traditional Chinese colours and two Minifigures. The second is a brand new BrickHeadz set based on Mickey Mouse with a Spring Festival twist. LEGO Product designer Markus Rollbühler, designed the sets to be as authentic as possible: “We were incredibly thorough with our research when designing the sets. Recognising the importance of celebrating and commemorating different cultures around the world (and to appeal to the lucrative China market), LEGO created the Chinese Traditional Festival sub-theme in 2019, with minifigure-scale sets based on some of the core Chinese New year celebrations.
